Network Connectivity

This section serves as a bit of a catchall, for any other network services that form the backbone of the network, especially for connectivity purposes. This could include, for example: network cabling, switches, firewalls, and network design philosophies. Core Network Services is the parent to this section, but is defined as services that enable application services (application services being things like web servers, game servers, file servers…). In this light Network Connectivity is viewed as an enabling service - what application services could function without the actual network connectivity underlying them?
